Glowsticks
Glowsticks come in three colors. They are solid light sources that are easily obtainable.
They're instant-mineable and don't drop anything when broken.

Using each of them gives a respective advancement:

For reference, a Bow has a power of 1.0
Pink: Thrown with a power of 1.4, placing a solid rod where it lands that produces a light level of 15. It has 2 knockback.
Green: Thrown with a power of 0.57, placing a solid rod where it lands that produces a light level of 14. It has 1 knockback.
Blue: Not throwable at all! It's placed down like a normal block, producing a light level of 12
Dispensing
Glowsticks in a Dispenser block act just like if they were thrown by a Glowstick Dispenser.

Trivia
The three colors of Glowsticks match the three main ones found in Terraria. Their throwing distances also somewhat match them.
